Covid Matters

We have been working with members to identify issues and concerns relating to their sites on matters such as mandatory vaccinations and the operational issues involved with the return to school for term 1, 2022. A comprehensive submission was forwarded to the Department for consideration and action with respect to operational issues involving mandatory vaccinations and can be read below. 

A response from the Department was received on 30 November and is available to read HERE.

We are now seeking information from members with respect to the operational and resourcing impact regarding the changes for the return to school in term 1 2022. Please outline your questions or feedback to SASSLA by email at or call Leanne on 0412 654 817 and we can discuss and note your feedback over the phone. We will update members with information over the coming weeks by email and social media.

When matters arise, it is important to access the facilities established by the Department in the first instance wherever practicable. Enquiries should be directed to the Department’s People Support Unit who are the first line for COVID-19 enquiries, they are available via:
